About the RoleWe are looking for a detail-oriented junior textile designer to join our growing team of talented designers. This designer will work primarily from our office in Gardena, CA.
What You'll Do- Design fabric for the quilting and home-sewing industry
- Create repeatable patterns
- Re-coloring coordinating designs
- Designingchops for batiks
- Color correcting samples
- Preparing designprintouts and electronic files
- Finishing and printing collections
- Check strike-offs
We're looking for a designer with:
- Strong drawing skills
- Familiarity with creating repeatable patterns for textile design
- Understanding of color palettes
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and familiarity with Macs
- Flexibility, ability to manage multiple projects and a willingness to collaborate
- BFADegree in textile, illustration or related studio art is desired
- Experience with sewing is a plus!
