Position: Commercial & Industrial Painting Project Manager / Cost Estimator
We are seeking a skilled Commercial & Industrial Painting Project Manager / Estimator to manage painting and protective coatings projects from the bidding phase through project completion. This role combines preconstruction estimating responsibilities with hands-on project oversight to ensure work is delivered on schedule, within budget, and according to quality standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing cost estimates, coordinating field operations, and maintaining strong communication with clients and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle. This position plays a key role in supporting successful project delivery by balancing cost control, crew coordination, and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and detailed proposals based on project drawings, specifications, and site requirements
• Develop project schedules and coordinate labor resources for efficient job execution
• Supervise field crews and ensure adherence to safety practices, quality standards, and production targets
• Track project costs and maintain budget control to ensure overall profitability
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding project milestones, progress updates, and change requests
• Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, and status reports
• Utilize estimating software and Microsoft Office tools to support project planning and reporting
• Coordinate procurement of materials and ensure timely delivery to job sites
• Monitor multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and schedule expectations

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience managing commercial or industrial painting and coatings projects
• Background in estimating, bidding, and construction proposal preparation
• Ability to coordinate and oversee multiple projects in various stages of completion
• Strong understanding of surface preparation methods, coating systems, and production scheduling
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Effective communication skills with a client-focused approach
• Proficiency with estimating tools and Microsoft Office applications
