Position: Part-time Maintenance Assistant

• Follow maintenance schedules and policies as directed by your supervisor.
• Perform routine groundskeeping and maintenance tasks, including trimming, sweeping, and cleaning.
• Carry out repairs on plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems according to established procedures.
• Clean windows and screens as needed.
• Replace light bulbs and perform cleaning duties as required.
• Service heating and cooling systems per manufacturer instructions and policies.
• Handle unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed.

Requirements:

• Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday.
• Clear communication skills in English.
• Capability to handle mental and emotional stress.
• Adequate sight/hearing or prosthetics to function properly.
• Independence, flexibility, integrity, and effective teamwork skills.
• Meet health requirements including a medical and physical exam.
• Ability to work with ill, disabled, elderly, and sometimes hostile individuals.
• Lift and carry at least 50 pounds, with assistance up to 100 pounds.
• Assist in emergency evacuations if necessary.
