Credit Analyst

Overview

Job duties involve credit investigations and analysis related to loans, verification and updating of credit information for mortgage underwriting, and providing operational support during the credit report supplement process. The role includes customer interactions via telephone and handling inquiries and complaints.

• Conduct credit investigations and analyze credit information pertaining to loans.
• Verify and update credit information as requested by clients in support of the mortgage underwriting process.
• Provide operational support to the production team through the course of the credit report supplement process.
• Resolve customer problems via telephone.
• Handle inbound consumer and client calls.
• Interface with customers regarding inquiries and complaints.
• Effectively research the internet for documentation to assist with verification requests.
• Analyze credit files to determine the cause of missing data and changes to credit data.
• Perform word processing, including general correspondence and data entry.

• Credit experience.
• Call center experience.
• Mortgage experience preferred.
• PC literate with basic office skills.
• Basic typing skills (25 wpm).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills with a thorough understanding of customer satisfaction.
• Credit reporting, loan servicing, mortgage banking, and/or call center background.
