Overview
Pay rate: $35.00 - $50.00/hr
Hours:
1:00pm-9:30pm, M-F
Location:
Garden Grove, CA
Duration: 3 months, with possible extension
Summary:
The ideal individual will have experience manufacturing machinery and facility services including building and operating systems maintenance, repair and improvement and custodial services. An employee in this position works in an environment in which safety, environmental and health concerns may demand constant attention. Strict adherence to Corporate and/or local policies, rules, and regulations in these areas is required. A commitment to carrying out the Company’s Policies is required.
An employee in this position must focus on customers expectations, prevent problems, and strive for continuous improvement resulting in improved results for themselves, customers and other employees.
- Accountable for safe maintenance activities. Follow safety systems and procedures to employees and contractors such as LOTO, permits to work, safety audits etc.
- Timely completion of breakdowns and answer radio calls
- Works with the admin staff in the maintenance department to help, develop, identify needs based on parts, PMs, etc.
- Completes work orders both request and PMs in a timely matter
- Escalate to supervisor or manager when issues arise and critical items are needed for safety, operations, etc.
- Drive 5S maturity in maintenance shop
- Participates in new process/ project Early Equipment Management
- Behavioral role model for all EHS standards; 5S & workplace organization practices; plant rules and safety regulations; and corporate Values and Attitudes.
- Partners with leaders to continuously improve EHS culture, awareness and accountability systems by leading & participating in EHS inspections, self-assessments, and audits
- Promotes, develops and mentors behavioral EHS initiatives to drive an autonomous EHS culture.
- Includes equipment/machine hazards and unsafe conditions as part of Preventive Maintenance to eliminate EHS risks (machine guarding, LOTO, confined spaces, Noise...)
- Performs audits to check safety equipment as part of risk management (pressure vessels, safety valves, cranes, forklifts. welding, electrical, work permits, etc.)
- Assesses machine/equipment EHS risks and improvement opportunities before making purchase request (equipment specification including safety machine guarding, emergency stops, etc...)
- Experience Years or Relevant Details Required/Preferred
- maintenance/repair service experience, 3+ Years’ of manufacturing 3+ Required
- Experience with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) or computer aided facilities management system (CAFM). Preferred
- Experience in CNC, Injection molding, tooling repairs experience with following OEM MAZAK, DMG-MORI, ENGEL, TOSHIBA Preferred
- Practical/Technical/Digital Knowledge
- Strong mechanical aptitudes, and a working knowledge of electrical, and mechanical systems. 2+ years Required
- Excellent trouble shooting and diagnostic skills 2+ years Required
- Ability to define problems, and resolve them quickly Required
- Familiar with local building codes and OSHA regulations Required
- Familiar with all current health and safety regulations Required
- Computer Skills Required
- Must be able to read blueprints and understand and interpret technical manuals. Required
- Knowledge in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatics, PLC’s and control systems Preferred
- Basic understanding of common maintenance measurements (MTBF, MTTF, MTTR) Preferred
- Basic understanding of the types of machine failures (function loss and function reduction) Preferred
- Basic understanding of the occurrence of failures (sporadic and chronic failures) Preferred
- Good understanding of CMMS systems Required
- Comprehensive understanding of Lean / World Class principles and practices Preferred
- Know and understand the quality and safety policies.
