Job Overview
Harbinger, an American commercial electric vehicle company, is building a first‑of‑its‑kind EV platform for medium‑duty vehicles and hybrids. The Systems Engineering team needs an experienced Systems Engineer to own the definition and architecture of ADAS features for our commercial electric delivery trucks.
What you will do- Define high‑level requirements and use cases for core ADAS features such as AEB, ACC, VB, and BUC.
- Develop logical and physical system architectures that describe interactions between sensors, controllers, and physical systems.
- Lead Functional Safety analysis and produce concept‑level work products in accordance with ISO 26262.
- Decompose vehicle‑level requirements and the PDL into system, component, and interface requirements using Flow Engineering.
- Define the Design Verification Plan (DVP&R) for ADAS functions.
- Oversee testing from SIL to HIL and proving‑ground track testing.
- Analyze test data to fine‑tune sensitivity thresholds and calibrations, balancing safety and false‑positive detection.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of automotive ADAS systems engineering experience.
- Hands‑on experience with ISO 26262 Functional Safety.
- Experience with Matlab/Simulink control logic.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to ADAS.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and effective communication in a collaborative team environment.
- Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 USD
