Quality Manufacturing Process Engineer – Valence
Valence Surface Technologies is seeking a Quality Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead process improvement, maintain certifications, and ensure compliance across product lines in Garden Grove, CA.
Job SummaryResponsible for gap analysis of customer specifications, development and maintenance of manufacturing processes, supporting Nadcap & AS9100 certifications, performing internal & external audits, and coordinating first‑article qualification and new product deployment.
Responsibilities- Perform gap analysis of new and revised customer specifications to define detailed requirements.
- Develop, document, and implement management systems and quality procedures in line with domestic standards.
- Maintain and support Nadcap & AS9100 certification activities.
- Create and maintain standard processing & equipment matrices, process trees, and SOPs for MRP systems.
- Conduct internal & external audits and develop operational quality procedures to qualify new processes.
- Oversee first‑article qualification, including time optimization and pricing evaluation.
- Manage deployment of new product parts and processes, coordinating scheduling of customer orders.
- Develop accurate work orders and technique cards for new and existing orders.
- Apply Statistical Process Control tools (e.g., FMEA, Pareto) to assess risks in new or changed processes.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional project teams to meet deadlines and product goals.
- Create and update internal processing procedures, quality work instructions, and quality control test plans.
- Read and interpret blueprints and masking instructions.
- High School Graduate or GED;
Associate’s Degree preferred. - 3+ years of experience in aerospace chemical processing.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading.
- Strong analytical and risk‑analysis skills.
- Experience with MRP systems and SOP development.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and CATIA.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Vision (near & distance), hearing, and touch within normal limits.
- Ability to wear PPE (safety glasses) and use finger dexterity.
Full‑time, 1st Shift, Non‑Exempt/Exempt FLSA status, Garden Grove, CA.
