Airgas is hiring a Local CDL Driver in Garden City, KS. - Be a Customer Ambassador:
Serve as primary point of contact for customers, driving an established route to deliver compressed gas cylinders and related products. Handle customer orders, resolve service complaints, and build strong relationships. - Safety and Efficiency:
Safely and efficiently load, transport, and unload products from company‑provided truck, adhering to all DOT and company regulations. - Maintain Your Vehicle:
Perform routine maintenance checks and keep truck clean, ensuring readiness for daily route. - Physical Requirements:
Handle and deliver products with routine lifting of 25‑75 lb and up to 125+ lb using material‑handling equipment. Frequent bending, walking, standing and an 8‑hour driving shift are required.
- Experience:
At least one full year of Class A or B CDL driving experience verified under DOT requirements within the past 5 years, or recent graduate of an accredited driving school. Exceptional customer service skills and proactive attitude is a plus. - Endorsements:
Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement or ability to obtain Hazmat upon contingency of offer. - Clean Record:
Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) essential; must be at least 21 years of age. - Physical Capability:
Routine lifting of 25‑75 lb and up to 125+ lb, frequent bending, walking, standing, and 8‑hour driving shift for hazardous cargo. - Skills:
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, read and comprehend material safety data sheets.
