Overview
Summary Coordinate maintenance planning activities and provide operations support, including in-house planned and preventive maintenance, backlog management, and inventory processes aligned with production and maintenance requirements.
Responsibilities- Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure efficient equipment operation.
- Prepare, review, update, and close work orders (job plans, labor hours, skills, parts availability) in SAP or applicable systems.
- Coordinate and schedule daily/weekly maintenance activities; manage backlog to minimize downtime.
- Create purchase orders, negotiate pricing, and procure parts/supplies; oversee inventory control and approvals.
- Maintain machine manuals, prints, schematics, and equipment records.
- Generate maintenance, financial, and technical reports, including equipment history and open order updates.
- Support continuous improvement by updating tasks/frequencies with manager approval.
- Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with all state and federal health and safety regulations.
- Follow DFA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 to 4 years MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul), manufacturing, or related work experience
- Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems
- Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and general maintenance activities
- Skill in organization and prioritization
- Able to coordinate a high level of activity
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Able to follow directions and meet deadlines
- Able to perform tasks and duties without constant supervision
- Able to understand the basic types of controls used in the plant and how they affect the process
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
