Job Summary

COLD FOOD (SALAD) Position

Location:

1001 Texas Clipper Road, Galveston, TX 77554. Online applications only.

Schedule:

Full‑time, Monday through Friday, 6:00 am–2:00 pm (details upon interview).

Pay: $11.00–$12.00 per hour.

We are hiring immediately. Prior experience in deli and cooking is preferred.

• Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from Chef.
• Prepare sandwich meats, cheeses, condiments and salads following approved production standards.
• Stock and replenish deli/cold products and condiments according to merchandising guidelines.
• Transport pans, kettles and trays of food between workstation, stove and refrigerator.
• Store food in designated areas using HACCP standard wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures.
• Clean, sanitize and maintain counters, work surfaces, refrigeration units, and floors in preparation and serving areas.
• Cut meats, cheeses and vegetables on slicing machine or knife to specified thickness.
• Collaborate with coworkers to ensure compliance with company service standards, inventory and cash control procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment to comply with sanitation, Serv Safe, and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Because this position requires services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work (such as winter and summer breaks). Such periods may be unpaid and considered temporary layoff. Depending on business needs, you may be required to work year‑round, possibly at a different location during break periods.
