Wound Ostomy & Continence Nurse (M-F/8a-4:30p) Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Five years clinical RN experience, including two years wound, ostomy and continence nursing experience.
- Current RN license or valid permit to practice professional nursing in Texas.
- Must possess either one of the following certifications, Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN®) or Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON®), OR two of the following certifications, Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN®), Certified Ostomy Care Nurse (COCN®), or Certified Continence Care Nurse (CCCN®).
To provide, coordinate, and support clinical aspects of care for patients with wound, ostomy, and continence (WOC) care needs. Critically analyzes the effectiveness of patient care systems and participates in interdisciplinary action to maximize the quality, cost and effectiveness of patient care. Serves as expert WOC clinical resource on 24/7 basis.
