Are you a proactive problem-solver who enjoys a variety of hands-on tasks? We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Galveston. We have an immediate opening for a dedicated professional and are open to both permanent Full-Time and Part-Time arrangements.

We are looking for a long-term fit and can accommodate your needs for either a full-time career or a steady part-time role.

Full-Time: Permanent full-time hours are available for the right candidate.

Part-Time: Hours will average ~15/week initially, increase during busy seasons (March & Summer), and stabilize at ~10/week starting in April.

Seasonal Variety: For both roles, total hours may fluctuate based on seasonal demand (higher in March and Summer).

Flexibility: Must be available for a flexible schedule, including on-call availability for nights and weekends as needed for emergencies.

You will be the go-to person for keeping our rooms and facilities running smoothly. Key duties include:

General Repairs: Proficiency in plumbing (leaks, clogs),
electrical (fixtures, outlets), and carpentry (drywall, paint, trim).

Specialized Systems: Troubleshooting and performing minor repairs on PTAC units (in-room HVAC) and Onity lock systems (experience preferred).

Preventative Maintenance: Conducting routine "PMs" to catch issues before they affect a guest's stay.

Pool Care: Note: A Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license is a plus, but not required to apply.

Experience: 2+ years of professional maintenance experience (hotel or commercial building preferred).

Technical

Skills:

Strong "handyman" skills across plumbing, electrical, and basic mechanical systems.

Reliability: Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and work under pressure.

Service Mindset: A friendly, professional attitude when interacting with guests and staff.

Requirements: Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check and drug screen
