You’ll help protect what matters most with a broad mix of personal lines solutions — homeowners, auto, windstorm, flood, and life — while delivering the white-glove service clients expect from a community-rooted team.
SummaryThe Person al Lines Account Manager provides outstanding service (and sales support when applicable) to personal lines clients. You’ll partner closely with producers to manage a growing book, handle new and renewal marketing and placement, and coordinate with assistants to service each account collaboratively, efficiently, and on time. You’re the connective tissue between clients, carriers, producers, and internal teammates, strengthening relationships through proactive communication and follow-through.
WhatYou’ll Do
Live the agency’s core values of service, reliability, and community focus while representing a full suite of personal insurance options for coastal and mainland clients.
Process policy changes accurately and promptly; follow up with carriers to ensure completion and accuracy.
Keep producers up to speed on key account activity, timelines, and carrier responses.
Monitor workload and raise your hand when additional support/resources are needed.
Quote new personal lines business using agency systems, market access, and carrier partners; support producers in closing opportunities.
Remarketing: evaluate renewal strategies and place coverage to meet client expectations (including coastal exposures like windstorm and flood).
Collaborate with the service team to obtain high-quality quotes and execute remarkets on time.
Write and service all types of personal lines policies; stay current on carrier appetites and industry trends.
Maintain rigorous documentation and task management to meet E&O standards.
Negotiate professionally with underwriters and carrier contacts.
Deliver reliable attendance, on-time work, and positive team engagement.
Pitch in on related duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum 2+ years of personal lines experience with strong coverage knowledge and carrier interaction.
Active Property & Casualty license preferred (or ability to obtain and maintain).
Professional designations a plus.
Strong Microsoft Office proficiency and familiarity with agency management systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication; client-forward presence.
Highly organized, with sharp time management and follow-through.
Ability to prioritize, work independently, and thrive in a collaborative team.
Resourceful problem-solver with solid negotiation skills.
In-office attendance required
Occasional travel for professional development and industry training.
Local and independent since 1987 with deep roots in the Galveston/Houston community.
