Offshore CWI Inspector

Job Summary

This critical role involves overseeing structural weld fabrication and ensuring compliance with industry standards in a challenging offshore environment. The ideal candidate will bring proven inspection expertise, offshore experience, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

• Perform detailed inspections of structural welds on offshore fabrication projects.
• Monitor welding operations to ensure adherence to approved procedures and quality standards.
• Supervise welders and provide guidance to maintain compliance with safety and procedural requirements.
• Track and document structural weld fabrication progress accurately.
• Ensure all inspection activities meet project specifications and industry regulations.
• Collaborate with project teams to resolve quality issues promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain safety protocols and participate in safety meetings to promote a safe working environment.

• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is mandatory.
• Proven offshore experience in structural welding inspection.
• Valid BOISET Rigging certification (API-RP-2D standard).
• Current USCG Physical & Drug Screen, or willingness to complete upon validation.
• Valid TWIC card and Safe Gulf certification.
• Ability to work a 14/14 rotation schedule, 12-hour shifts.
• Strong understanding of welding procedures, structural fabrication, and inspection techniques.
• Excellent communication and supervisory skills.
• Additional beneficial skills include experience with NDT (not required), and familiarity with offshore safety standards.
