We are thrilled to announce the launch of our newest maritime ship and are seeking passionate, skilled professionals to join our crew. If you’re ready for adventure, teamwork, and excellence at sea, explore the positions below:
** Boatswain
- ** The Boatswain assists with the training and preventative maintenance program on board the training ship. Assists Chief Mate with safety inspections required for MARAD and the US Coast Guard. Performs trade work at a high-skilled level and serves as a working leader of a maintenance crew of Deck Cadets in a USCG license program. Documents and maintains records of preventative maintenance and repairs performed.
** Ship Environmental Steward** - The Ship Steward plays a vital part in maintaining the vessel's operational readiness, ensuring it remains in ROS-5 status for potential active service outside of its training duties. The Ship Steward is a day worker in the deck department, typically working a standard eight-hour day while the ship is at sea or in port. This position is under the direct supervision of the ship's licensed officers and Boatswain.

Although the role is a day-worker position, the incumbent must be available to be called out at any time for operational needs.
** Ship HVAC/Refrigeration Specialist** - The Ship HVAC/Refrigeration Specialist plays a vital part in maintaining the vessel's operational readiness, ensuring it remains in ROS-5 status for potential active service outside of its training duties. The duties of the Ship HVAC/Refrigeration Specialist include, but are not limited to, the proper monitoring of his/her designated equipment for proper operation, maintenance and repair of all shipboard domestic refrigeration and air conditioning systems, standalone A/C package units, walk-in reefers, reach-in reefers, water fountains, refrigerant air dryer systems, air handling units, air filtration systems, and electric heating coils.
** Ship Plumber** - The physical demands of a Ship Plumber are significant. The job requires the ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined and noisy spaces, and navigate the moving, often narrow, passages of a vessel. A Ship Plumber must be skilled in maintaining and repairing a wide range of systems.
** Third Mate** - The Third Mate under general supervision, operates, ships equipment and systems and performs other duties as directed by the Captain/Chief Mate relevant to the license they hold. The Third Mate participates in the operational maintenance and repair training of deck license option students to the extent that it does not interfere with their operational responsibilities. The Third Mate may also stand watch or perform “day work” as needed to fulfill the operational requirements of the ship and sea term.
** Second Assistant Engineer** - The Second Assistant Engineer participates in the operation, maintenance and repair of ship's equipment and systems; the primary focus is the equipment and systems in “machinery spaces” such as the engine rooms, auxiliary machinery rooms, motor rooms, steering gear room however it is possible that time and effort will be spent outside of these spaces.
** Third Assistant Engineer** - The Third Assistant Engineer (3AE) Mariner operates and maintains ships propulsion machinery and related systems; performs maintenance and repair support to the engine department and perform other duties as required by Chief Engineer/First Engineer; participates in shipboard practical oversight of cadets.
