  Full-time FM/IM Physician

  Mon-Fri 6:30a-3:30p or 7a-4p (cst)
• Call:
  No call
• Patients per day: 20-25
• Age Range:
  Adults 18+
• Case Types:
  General correctional intake- sutures, bumps/bruises, sickness, intoxication, vitals
• Sole PCP on-site, part-time cardiologist and dialysis physician. Medical assistants and nurses make up support staff
• EMR:
• Located within the confines of a county jail. Security clearance is required; pre-employment drug testing is also required.

• Competitive base salary: $280K, will allow for locums for first 2-3 months of employment with expectation of becoming a W2 after 2-3 months fulltime

About the Practice & Facility

Medium-security facility located south of Houston. It primarily houses pre-trial detainees and those awaiting sentencing for various violations. The facility has a capacity of approximately 1,100 adult detainees and offers a range of services to support rehabilitation and safety. The jail provides educational programs, vocational training, substance abuse treatment, and work programs where inmates can earn money or reduce their sentences.

It also offers religious programs and volunteer services to inmates.
