Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Galveston, Texas. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices while collaborating closely with vendors and internal teams. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can handle high volumes of invoices efficiently and maintain excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

- Process a high volume of invoices with precision and attention to detail.

- Maintain vendor and customer accounts, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.

- Perform invoice coding and review to ensure compliance with company policies.

- Conduct regular check runs and verify payment accuracy.

- Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and address vendor inquiries.

- Utilize Oracle, Net Suite, or similar accounting systems for financial tasks and recordkeeping.

- Ensure compliance with established procedures and deadlines.

- Monitor accounts payable workflows and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency.

- Prepare documentation for audits and assist with reporting as needed. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or a related finance role.

- Proficiency in coding invoices and processing payments.

- Familiarity with accounting systems such as Oracle or Net Suite is preferred.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Ability to handle high volumes of invoices accurately and efficiently.

- Excellent communication skills for vendor and team interactions.

- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining financial accuracy.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
