Operations Technician III – Galt, CA

Job Summary

This role requires the candidate to operate, maintain and repair processes and equipment in a facility producing and shipping various industrial gases. Responsibilities include working within procedure‑based systems to ensure ES&H compliance, quality assurance, reliability, and cost control.

Self‑motivation, safety consciousness, strong communication, organization, operating and mechanical skills are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Safety performance, Basic Safety Process compliance and process safety management.
  • Support all aspects of day‑to‑day operation, including solving plant process problems, directly supervising daily plant activities and driving plant projects.
  • Troubleshooting plant process or mechanical problems, coordinating maintenance activities, driving plant efficiency and plant projects.
  • 24/7 on‑call responsibilities for response to plant alarms and shutdowns.
  • Identifying maintenance concerns, developing and implementing corrective/preventive measures while working within planned maintenance budgets.
  • Working with the Galt Operations Team to cover vacation and outage support to all associated facilities within the Galt Site Manager’s areas of responsibility.
  • Perform and maintain all administrative responsibilities for the sites.
  • Working with support resources to achieve efficiency targets in all areas.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certificate in process technology or maintenance field (preferred) or at least 2 years minimum in a manufacturing/production, processing or chemical/petrochemical environment.
  • Strong instrument, electrical and/or mechanical proficiency is desired.
  • Shown dedication to safety and continuous improvement.
  • Must be a self‑starter and willing to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Military training in a technical field.
  • Shown success in EH&S and Quality.
  • Confirmed experience in complex plant operations, skilled in troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of generated gas or air separation processes is a plus (training provided).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications.

Salary

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $44.28 to $48.48 per hour.
