Accredited Level III Trauma Center, 23-bed unit - Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Weekly
Hours:
36 - Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025 – End: 1/5/2026)
- Weekend Rotation:
Every third weekend, as needed - Float Requirement:
Willingness to float to other units as needed - Electronic Health Record:
Meditech - Dress Code:
Any scrub color (T-shirts must have hospital logo; no acrylic nails) - Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1800-$1840
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Tennessee RN license (Registered Nurse)
- ASN degree or higher in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in orthopedic, post-op, or med/surg settings
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (must be current prior to start)
- Strong teamwork, customer service, and communication skills
- Ability to float to other nursing units as needed
- Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check before assignment
Orthopedic RN Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to orthopedic, post-operative, bariatric, GI, and trauma patients (ages 13+ including geriatric, adult, and pediatric)
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and progress in compliance with hospital standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate and support patients and families throughout the care process
- Maintain adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
- Float to other units as required to support overall patient care
