The Director of Ambulatory Pharmacy Services, reporting to the Chief Pharmacy Officer, oversees all ambulatory pharmacy services across Avita Health System. Current services include two outpatient pharmacies and four hospital-based Medication Management Centers.
Our community outpatient pharmacies provide retail, specialty, and vaccination services, as well as Meds-to-Beds for Avita’s three hospitals and support for Avita Home Health and Hospice. Within our Medication Management Centers, Ambulatory Care Pharmacists operating under collaborative practice agreements, provide a variety of disease state and medication management services along with a nationally recognized Medication Access Program and Drug Repository Program.
Future initiatives include expanding retail pharmacy locations and services, launching a charitable pharmacy, and broadening ambulatory care medication and disease state management offerings to meet community needs.
The Director is responsible for the growth, development, oversight, and performance of all ambulatory pharmacy services, including clinical programs, operations, budgeting, finance, compliance, and policy development. A priority of this role is ensuring that every aspect of ambulatory pharmacy services delivers exceptional, patient-centered care and service.
In this role, the Director will lead, develop, and oversee a team of Pharmacy Supervisors, Pharmacists, Technicians, and support staff. The Director of Ambulatory Pharmacy Services collaborates with the Director of Acute Care Pharmacy Services to assist the Chief Pharmacy Officer with strategic planning, budgeting, and advancing pharmacy services across Avita Health System.
