You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those that are looking for a personalized work schedule. As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app.

Reliable attendance is necessary. You may be required to attend orientation and training before starting shifts. After training, the myTime app is used to pick shifts.

All-Demand policies include minimum engagement expectations (e.g., pick up shifts and respond to contact attempts). You must be prepared to work when the business demands it most. Failure to engage or to work shifts may impact employment. Flexibility can be granted in certain circumstances.

Guest Advocates welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment, store cleanliness, and knowledge of in-store and digital services. You will help guests with checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pickup, and drive up while ensuring quality and adherence to policies.

• Demonstrate a service culture delivering the service standard and create a welcoming guest experience.
• Engage with guests to understand and resolve needs; be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to improve their experience.
• Scan and bag items efficiently and in compliance with safety standards; minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
• Inform guests about current brand launches, store activities, and events; assist with loyalty program enrollment.
• Help guests use Wallet and Target App features; assist with fulfillment services and direct guests to enroll, activate, or use them.
• Handle returns per policy; partner with leaders to resolve issues while following procedures.
• De-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience in alignment with Target policies.
• Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies during store hours.
• Adhere to safety policies and report hazards; support cash office processes as needed.
• All other duties based on business needs.

• You enjoy interacting with guests and helping others; you thrive in a fast-paced, active environment with teamwork and problem solving.
• You are open to a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to handle cash operations and support cash office tasks; able to lift up to 44 pounds with or without assistance.
