- To provide development of business intelligence (BI) and research for and about the College as an aid to the decision-making process, outcome assessment, enrollment management, and strategic planning. Director of Accreditation, Assistant Manager of Data Assurance, Institutional Data Manager, Web Programmer, Financial Reporting Specialist, Foundation & Institutional Grants Accounting Specialist, Coordinator of Administrative Computing, Vice President of Institutional Resources, Vice President of Student Development, Vice-President Academic Services, Technology Services Staff, Staff and Faculty.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain dashboards, and provide training to employees on accessing and interpreting dashboards for their departments.Presentation of College information in the form of dashboards, web pages, slides, PowerPoint, and other forms of media as needed.Participate in the establishment of strategic initiatives for the Institutional Effectiveness team.Collect and compile relevant data for Annual Program Review, including student performance outcomes, regional employment outlook and projections, and other data as provided by IE team members. Interpret data into infographics, and create and distribute Annual Program Review Reports to departments as directed.Prepare quantitative reports and documents for the purpose of reviewing short/long-range goals, objectives, and the evaluation of the institutional planning process.Create, maintain and distribute institutional data, including weekly enrollment and semester student performance outcomes dashboards.Maintain institutional data links and webpages on institutional website.Provide data as requested for other institutional departments and committeesCoordination and completion of data requests between various departments of the college.Provide data for grant applications and grant reports as requested by grant managers.Adhere to and facilitate the Data Assurance policy and procedures.Other duties as required.Assists With:
Timely and accurate reporting to ICCB, Higher Learning Commission, and other accrediting agency/compliance requirements and in extracting information that is necessary to the various research projects at the College.Provide the necessary data for ICCB Program Review, strategic enrollment management, classroom assessments and student evaluations.Implementation of changes in information needs and the college's response to new reporting requirements.Risk Management and Loss Prevention Activities:
Actively participate in and carry out activities in support of the college Risk Management Program in a capacity appropriate to this position.Monitor conditions, events, and circumstances present in the college operation to avoid potential torts or injuries to students, staff, or the general public, and then communicate observations to the appropriate supervisor and/or Risk Management Committee.Maintain a working knowledge of the college’s emergency procedures and how to operate emergency phone systems; including internal/external call boxes.Minimum Necessary Education, Skills, and Experience:
Associate degree or 60 semester hours of college credit or specialized related training and two years related experience required.Descriptive statistical skills and educational institution experience preferred.Excellent analytical, written, verbal, and data visualization skills.High level of knowledge of computer systems including word processing, spreadsheets, dashboards, infographics, and relational databases preferred.The ability to communicate successfully with clients of all ages, socio-economic status, sex, or race.Must be capable of demonstrating ability to provide accurate, detailed and timely data reporting.Must be organized, able to work independently and prioritize assignments, and work with multiple projects simultaneously.Must be able to exhibit a high-level of capacity to maintain confidentiality of College information and data.Spanish or French proficiency preferred.Physical Requirements to Perform Job Functions:
