Timber Framing Internship

Firmitas LLC, a leader in timber construction, historic preservation, and structural repair, is seeking enthusiastic and motivated interns to join our team. Located in Galesburg, IL, Firmitas is recognized for expertise in both the history and the future of timber frame building.

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a diverse team of makers and doers who are passionate about building and preserving with positive impact. You will gain valuable experience in areas such as:

• Structural timber
• Historic preservation
• Timber-centric project development
• Drafting and structural design development
• Documentation and 3D scans
• Engineering
• Strategic planning
• Lifting and moving
• New construction
• Repair and restoration
• Architectural sculpture
