Geospatial Analyst Solutions Directorate, part of the National Solutions Business Area, is currently seeking an experienced Software Engineer for the Maru Program. The Maru Program delivers mission-critical, modern software solutions across our customer’s enterprise using Agile, Dev Sec Ops , and cloud-native methodologies.

We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Software Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and delivery of scalable software solutions within our engineering organization. This roleis responsible for implementing high-quality software across the full stack while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and maintainable systems.

The ideal candidatepossessesstrong object-oriented programmingexpertise, backend development experience, and the ability to contribute to front-end and Dev Ops efforts as needed. This individual will work independently on complex technical tasks while supporting overall teamobjectivesand solution delivery.

Top Secret with the ability to obtain SCI, as well as a Polygraph.

• Object-Oriented Programming:
  
  Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, andmaintainscalable software applications using object-oriented design principles.

• REST API Development:
  
  Implement and maintain
  
  RESTful services to support application functionality and integrations.

• Database Development:
  
  Develop and optimize
  
  SQL queries; contribute to database schema updates and performance improvements.

• Linux Environments:
  
  Develop, deploy, and troubleshoot applications within Linux-based environments.

• System Troubleshooting:
  
  Diagnose and resolve technical issues spanning application and database layers.

• Solution Design
  
  Collaboration:
  
  Contribute to technical design discussions and support implementation of approved architectures.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  
  Partner with engineers and stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.

• Code Quality & Best Practices:
  
  Participate in code reviews and support adherence toestablishedengineering standards.

• US citizenship is required per contract.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 8–12 years of relevant experience or Master’sdegree with 6–10 years of relevant experience.

• Java or Python:
  
  Professionalexperiencedesigning and implementing object-oriented applications.

• REST APIs:
  
  Experience developing and maintaining
  
  RESTful services.

• SQL:
  
  Strong experience writing andoptimizingqueries within relational databases.

• Linux:
  
  Working knowledge of Linux environments for development and deployment.

• Experience working on moderately complex technical projects with minimal supervision.

• JavaScript:
  
  Experience developing front-end functionality.

• Git Lab CI/CD:
  
  Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.

• Containerization:
  
  Familiarity with Docker or Open Shift.

• Experience with Spring Boot, Postgre
  
  SQL, Tomcat, or Maven.

• Experience working in Agile development environments.

• Experience deploying and supporting applications in AWS environments.

• Experience with modern web frameworks.
