Overview
Join to apply for the SV - Host/Door role at Sixty Vines. At Sixty Vines, our chef-driven menus are inspired by the seasonal cuisine of the wine country, made with local ingredients, and brought to your table fresh from our open scratch kitchen. Our knowledgeable staff can help you pair each dish with the perfect glass. Because food tastes better with wine.
Responsibilities- Greet and seat all guests in a hospitable, friendly, and timely manner.
- Handle all incoming telephone calls, before the third ring, using professional verbiage and with a positive and uplifting tone.
- Maintain a clean entrance area, hostess stand, and women’s restroom.
- Manage reservations system, including seating within reservation times, quoting proper wait names when necessary, and not over- or under-booking the restaurant.
- Escort guests to the proper assigned table while engaging in light conversation and providing the perfect hospitable start to their dining experience.
- Interact with all guests and co-workers in a professional, hospitable, and friendly manner.
- Arrive on time for scheduled shifts, ready to work.
- Wear the proper uniform at all times, including dress, makeup, hair, and jewelry; accept and book reservations.
- Offer alternative times or options when desired seating is not available to ensure guests join us.
- Calculate, note, and quote accurate wait times.
- When the wait is extensive, offer the bar for cocktails and appetizers before seating.
- Keep floors, entry, and walkways clean and free of debris.
- Assist in bussing tables when needed.
- Provide guest right of way and assist guests needing directions around the restaurant.
- Thank departing guests and welcome new guests.
- Be familiar with restaurant information to address guest questions or concerns.
- Answer phone calls and fulfill guest needs; place calls on hold when needed or direct to the proper department; communicate important information to managers on duty.
- Be familiar with hours of operation, menu items, price range, directions, and all other basic restaurant information.
- Be able to provide information on daily menu additions, musical talent performances, and any cocktail or wine features for the evening.
- Fun, energetic, and professional attitude at all times.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Prior restaurant experience is desired, but not required.
