Position: Small Animal Emergency Veterinarian Job, Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA
Job Description: Our client is seeking a full-time Emergency Veterinarian to join a highly respected, AAHA-accredited 24-hour specialty and emergency referral hospital located just 30 minutes from Washington, D.C. This opportunity is ideal for an emergency clinician who values collaborative medicine, advanced diagnostics, and a sustainable schedule with strong earning potential.

Veterinary Referral Associates is a 30,000+ sq. ft. multi-specialty hospital offering an exceptional level of support and resources. Emergency doctors work side-by-side with a large team of board-certified specialists across nearly every discipline, allowing for gold-standard care, seamless case collaboration, and continued clinical growth. The role offers an established caseload, exposure to complex emergency and critical care cases, and a schedule averaging just three shifts per week.

Qualifications Needed:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent
  • Eligibility for veterinary licensure in Maryland
  • Minimum 1 year of emergency practice experience preferred
  • Strong diagnostic, surgical, and critical care skills
  • Excellent client communication and teamwork abilities
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, referral-level ER setting
Package:
  • Base salary range of $160,000-$180,000 USD
  • Earning potential exceeding $200,000 annually with production
  • Schedule of approximately 3 shifts per week
  • Sign-on, retention, and relocation packages up to $75,000
