Veterinary Surgical Centers (VSC), a leading multidisciplinary specialty practice in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, seeks a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Veterinarian to join our team in Gaithersburg, MD. This role is ideal for an overnight emergency veterinarian with a strong interest in inpatient care and a collaborative approach to medicine. As a veterinarian at VSC, you will play a vital role in managing hospitalized patients, coordinating care with specialists, and ensuring continuity of treatment in a fast‑paced, state‑of‑the‑art specialty facility.
Our Rarebreed state‑of‑the‑art hospital, which boasts MRI & CT scanners, an ultrasound unit, an endoscopy suite, and multiple ORs, is focused on supporting our veterinary community. VSC has been providing world‑class orthopedic and soft‑tissue surgery for over two decades, and our first Maryland location adds Internal Medicine and Neurology departments that practice the same exceptional standards of care.

WHAT YOU’LL DO- Work with our team of board‑certified surgeons to provide post‑operative case management.
- Collaborate with surgeons to create and implement treatment plans for our in‑house patients.
- Provide guidance and leadership for our staff, including LVTs, assistants, imaging technicians, visiting staff, and more.
- Be involved with marketing/outreach to increase patient flow and overall exposure of our surgical services.
The starting salary for this position is $ annually with a sign‑on bonus of up to $50,000.00.

- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent degree required.
- Ability to attain MD Veterinary License.
