Maintenance Technician

Base pay range

$26.00/hr - $26.00/hr

• Responsible for providing routine maintenance and repairs of production equipment, facility equipment, building maintenance, monitoring building BMS/EMS systems, and other duties as assigned.
• Corrective & Preventative Maintenance – Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance which includes documentation of maintenance activities and filing of records through work order system. Detect malfunctions/issues and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or operators; diagnose problems and repairs; increase efficiency of machines; bring equipment and environment within SG safety guidelines. And that machines are operating as designed and according to SOPs.
• Repair, inspect and test machinery and equipment: for proper operations, for quality product, safety issues, and operating within specifications per SOPs. And follow all LOTO procedures.
• Contractor Safety administration - monitor contractor activities to ensure adherence to company's safety standards and that work is completed according to defined scope/permit.
• Responsible for the repair and maintenance of facility and grounds in regard to safety and compliance whether city, state, federal, or Landlord requirements.
• Building system monitoring with occasional maintenance to ensure production areas meet operating conditions.
• All other tasks assigned as needed.

• High school diploma
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC equipment/systems.
• Must have a strong commitment to safety practices & principles. Especially LOTO.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with facility/equipment problem solving abilities for equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, valves, solenoids, cylinders, etc.
• Basic hand tools, power tools, measurement devices, electrical meters, etc.
• Forklift operational experience (or become trained within approximately 6 months)
• Must have basic computer knowledge.
