, you'll play a critical leadership role in shaping product strategy, driving growth and sustainability, and ensuring our medical countermeasure portfolio delivers meaningful impact.
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Product Management, the Director, Product Management will champion assigned MCM products, leading the development of product strategies and implementation of growth and/or sustainability plans in a matrix structure. This includes, but is not limited to, customer and stakeholder engagements, attainment of revenue targets, identification of life cycle management priorities, competitive (direct and indirect) market assessments, definition of a value proposition and attributes, forecasting, and pricing.
The Director, Product Management will be integral to the Emergent MCM Product Management team by managing and supporting cross‑functional product teams to advance business and corporate objectives. This role will collaborate closely with other leaders in support of establishing and completing product goals while meeting strategy and commitments.
What You’ll Do- Leads product teams by defining strategies and priorities that will grow and/or sustain business; builds strong and trusting relationships with cross‑functional partners
- Participates in product development teams (PDTs) and provides guidance on business priorities and customer needs; supports the alignment of development priorities with clear business objectives
- Partners with Contract Operations to lead the engagement with the USG on contracting actions and participates directly in negotiations
- Partners with Government Affairs, Medical Affairs, and other functions to create external engagement plans that align with product strategies and value positioning
- Leads product integration/launch teams, as needed
- Supports implementation of the international growth strategy
- Provides input on how to improve collective ways of working; supports department‑wide initiatives to improve efficiency, drive collaboration, and strengthen cross‑functional relationships
- Supports annual budgeting process and long‑range planning
- Partners with Finance and Supply Chain; maintains revenue and demand forecasts per financial and S&OP reporting timelines
- Provides project management support, as needed
- Plans and manages cost center and product team/project expense budgets, as needed
- Serves as a manager, coach, and mentor, as needed
- Assists MCM Product Management team in other activities as needed
- Collaborate with all levels of employees in alignment with organization's core values.
- Represent product/organization both internally and externally, including meetings with government agencies; provide and collaborate/approve presentation material when necessary.
- Lead teams through decision‑making and escalation processes to resolution.
- Facilitate meetings and strategy discussions with cross‑functional teams and applicable personnel, including senior and executive management.
- Communicate clearly and confidently.

What You Bring- BA/BS degree required, advanced scientific degree or MBA a plus.
- Project management training and certification a plus
- 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry, or equivalent work experience; experience leading teams in the biologic/vaccine industry is strongly preferred.
