Description:
Onsite in Gaithersburg, MD This engagement supports a long-term program with our client's team, with emphasis on Linux, Python, and Ansible within a Dev Sec Ops framework. The program offers a five-year contract potential, rapid Public Trust processing, and the opportunity to collaborate with a broader team. Candidates may be considered for hybrid flexibility after trust is established, though onsite presence is required.
Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen with an active Public Trust clearance. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance. Rate: $45.00 to $55.00/hr.
w2 Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
* Install, configure, and maintain the software management toolset supporting development and deployment workflows.
* Develop, implement, and maintain software configuration management solutions.
* Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.
* Support CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable and secure software delivery.
* Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams in an Agile Scrum environment.
* Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve system and pipeline issues.
* Ensure systems comply with organizational security and Dev Sec Ops standards.
* Document processes, configurations, and best practices. Experience Requirements:
Experience Requirements
* Minimum 2+ years of hands-on Dev Ops experience.
* Experience with Linux, preferably Red Hat.
* Proficiency with Bash shell scripting and Python.
* Experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation.
* Hands-on use of Git, Jenkins, JIRA, and Crucible.
* Experience integrating security practices into CI/CD pipelines.
* Familiarity with secure configuration and compliance standards.
* Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment.
* Eligible for Public Trust clearance.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience supporting government or regulated environments (preferred).
* Familiarity with compliance frameworks and security scanning tools (preferred).
* Exposure to containerization or cloud platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or Azure (preferred).

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
* AWS certification (preferred).
