Significance, Inc. is seeking a Tableau Developer to join our team and support our client, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), based in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The candidate shall provide Tableau and Oracle EBS support as it relates to system implementation (to include software development if applicable) and/or production support, as requested by the customer.

• Experience with Oracle EBS data structures.
• Knowledge of federal financial processes.

• Design and maintain complex, interactive Tableau dashboards that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Apply data visualization best practices to ensure reports are intuitive and accessible.
• Optimize dashboard performance by auditing slow-loading workbooks and implementing extracts, filters, and efficient data modeling.

• Connect and blend data from disparate sources.
• Develop and refine SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data for reporting purposes.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to design scalable data schemas and ensure data integrity within the warehouse.

• Gather business requirements by meeting with department heads to translate vague goals into specific technical KPIs.
• Perform data validation and quality assurance to ensure that the numbers displayed in Tableau match the source systems.
• Translate complex data findings into clear business narratives for non-technical executive leadership.

• Document data dictionaries, logic workflows, and dashboard user guides for internal knowledge sharing.
• Stay current with Tableau updates to continuously improve internal reporting capabilities.

• Experience with Tableau, preferably in a GOV setting.
• Oracle EBS.

At Significance, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location.

The salary range listed is for the level at which this job has been scoped. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply.
