Overview
Pathologists’ Assistant (ASCP)—Gaithersburg, MD. We are seeking a full-time ASCP certified Pathologists’ Assistant to manage human cases (Autopsy consults including Clinical Trials) and preclinical animal studies (GLP and non-GLP).
Base pay range$85,000.00/yr - $/yr
Responsibilities- The primary duties of the Pathologists' Assistant involve case tracking management, gross tissue dissection, x-rays, digital photography, organization of lab work for the pathologist, and writing preliminary reports for analysis.
- Candidate must have completed a Pathologists’ Assistant training program (NAACLS) or hold an MS degree in the biologic sciences with a background in gross tissue analysis.
- National Certification (ASCP) preferred.
- Hands-on laboratory experience required.
- Must be well organized and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must adhere to GLP, CAP, and SOP policies and procedures, as applicable.
- Strong computer competence required (Microsoft Office) and the ability to learn new programs quickly.
