Position OverviewFull‑Time Clinical Injury Prevention Specialist – Health Center, Gaithersburg, MD.
Scheduled hours:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Candidates must have demonstrated experience in ergonomics.
Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) or Certified Industrial Ergonomist (CIE) certification required, strongly preferred.
What You’ll Do- Develop and implement an early intervention program, performing comprehensive musculoskeletal examinations, providing first aid per OSHA standards, and delivering education on injury prevention.
- Perform physical demand and ergonomic assessments to identify high‑risk tasks and recommend preventive strategies.
- Lead group and individual training on functional movement, job simulation, and injury prevention programs.
- Collaborate with on‑site medical and safety teams to coordinate care and recommend workplace countermeasures.
- Document assessments, recommendations, and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain patient health records to ensure accuracy and up‑to‑date information.
- Participate in meetings and task forces.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited professional athletic training education program.
- Current BOC Certified Athletic Trainer.
- Current certification in hands‑on AHA, ARC, or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers;
Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services. - Certification in ergonomic specialty areas preferred.

SalaryBase salary range: $72,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year, based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
