GL is searching for a senior telecommunications engineer to support its Products division. GL possesses a vast product line for testing and analyzing telecommunications networks including Wireless (3G, 4G LTE, 5G), Ethernet, Analog and TDM. GL’s products are used by Internet Service Providers, Defense Contractors, Equipment Manufacturers and Government agencies. The engineer will build and configure the products, discuss requirements with customers, provide demonstrations, give feedback to GL’s developers, and provide customer support.

This position will include occasional travel to customer sites within the USA. The successful candidate should have engineering experience in the telecommunications industry and outstanding communication skills to explain GL’s products to customers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physical sciences or mathematics from an accredited university. Masters or Doctorate degree preferred.
• Prior work experience in the telecom industry including engineering or technician roles.
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications networks including legacy networks (PSTN, T1 and E1), wireless networks (Land mobile radio, 4G LTE and 5G), high-speed fiber optic networks.
• Technician skills including soldering, building PCs and cables, configuring Windows or Linux OS.
• Computer programming skills such as JAVA, Python, C++, Bash scripting.
