Supporting the Head of Finance you with financial analysis, budgets and forecasting. You will need exceptional attention to detail and an inquisitive nature as the ability to question data is essential.

You will business partner sales, marketing and commercial teams, therefore having the ability to communicate complex and technical data in a simple format will be vital in this role.

Financial Planning Analyst Duties will include:

Partner closely with Sales & Marketing teams to analyse commercial performance, consolidating and tracking actual sales results for reporting and decision-making purposes
Deliver monthly performance analysis, including qualitative commentary and KPIs, explaining variances by customer, sales group and product level
Support the Commercial Manager and Product Managers in the development, monitoring, and refinement of sales budgets and forecasts, including price and volume assumptions
Contribute to monthly financial close and reporting processes, including IFRS and group consolidation
Proactively identify, propose, and implement improvements to financial processes, controls, and reporting to enhance transparency, efficiency, and decision support
Support the Head of Finance with ad-hoc analyses, projects, and strategic initiatives
Be lead user on the BI tool, including implementing new reports that will support the business

The ideal candidate will be:

Fully or later stages Part Qualified Accountant
With a proven practical background in a financial analytical role within a large operationally focused business
You will have a passion for figures accompanied by an inquisitive mind so as to be able to analyse, understand and interpret results.
The client wants to see applicants who can deliver and be proactive in their approach
Ability to highlight areas for improvement and thoroughly enjoying the interrogation of financial information
Experience presenting reports, forecasts, trends and recommendations to the team and senior management
IT literate including strong excel skills, ERP systems and BI tools
