Overview

Target is hiring for roles in General Merchandise Operations. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise areas of the store. This team leads Food & Beverage and Food Service, providing a fresh and food safe experience, and enables efficient delivery to guests through pick, pack and ship fulfillment.

All About Inbound Expert:
This role focuses on operations, process and efficiency to ensure product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The Inbound Expert supports guest service as needed and participates in daily tasks to meet business priorities and sales goals.

• Execute a detailed, accurate and efficient sorting operation.
• Stock, organize and store reserve product and straighten merchandise on the sales floor.
• Maintain product availability on the sales floor for GM categories.
• Operate powered equipment as necessary while unloading freight or moving merchandise.
• Process defective merchandise and handle environmentally sensitive items in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up and Drive Up, while complying with applicable laws (e.g., adult beverage regulations).
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests, assisting with needs, and thanking guests for shopping with Target.
• All other duties based on business needs.

• You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and peak shopping times).

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate technology and handheld scanners as directed.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Strong guest-service focus and problem-solving ability; attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
• Ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established time frames.

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Climb ladders; scan, move and handle merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds.
• Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays; reliable attendance required.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and elements while performing duties (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout).
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
