Full-Time | Immediate Start Compensation
- $45–$50 per hour (40–50 hours weekly)
SAVI EHS has an immediate need for a seasoned Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to support a large-scale hyperscale data center project in Gainesville, VA.
This role will focus heavily on electrical safety oversight, MEP coordination, commissioning activities, and energized system operations
. The selected candidate will work alongside project leadership, MEP teams, and the Energy Marshal to ensure safe energization and startup of critical infrastructure systems.
We are seeking a credentialed safety professional with strong construction and electrical safety experience who can operate effectively in a high-paced, mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all Environmental, Health & Safety compliance for electrical and MEP construction operations
- Provide direct safety oversight during commissioning, staging, and energization phases
- Work in coordination with the Energy Marshal to ensure safe startup and energization of critical systems
- Review and approve Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Method of Procedures (MOPs), Energization Plans, and LOTO documentation
- Monitor compliance with OSHA standards, NFPA 70E requirements, and site-specific electrical safety protocols
- Conduct documented daily EHS inspections with emphasis on energized systems, temporary power, switch gear staging, and tie-ins
- Participate in Daily Hazard Analysis (DHA) processes
- Investigate incidents, determine root cause, and implement corrective and preventative actions
- Collect and analyze leading and lagging safety indicators to identify trends and implement improvements
- Ensure all trade contractors adhere to project-specific EHS plans
- Verify that craft workers are appropriately trained and authorized for electrical and commissioning tasks
- Assist in crane coordination and other high-risk operations
- Partner with project leadership and trade contractor safety professionals to maintain an injury-free environment
- Serve as liaison with the client’s risk management and commissioning teams
- Deliver electrical safety, NFPA 70E, and energized work training modules
- Support development and growth of the project’s electrical safety and commissioning safety program
- 7+ years of EHS experience supporting commercial or mission-critical construction
- Strong background in electrical safety and commissioning environments
- Experience supporting MEP trades and energized system operations
- ASP, GSP, CSP, CHST, STSC (or equivalent safety credential)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- OSHA 500 and/or OSHA 510
- NCCER Certification
- NFPA 70E Electrical Safety Credentials
- BS/MS in Safety, Environmental Health, or related field
