Full-Time
2:30pm until 11:00pm with Rotating Call-Pay
Mid-shift maintenance tech to the following:
Performs duties necessary to keep the physical structure and associated equipment of hospital in good repair under the direction of the Facility Maintenance Director. Duties may include electrical work, mechanical repairs, construction, wall paint and patch work, lawn maintenance and other duties relating to general facility maintenance. Working knowledge of preventative maintenance software, HVAC and alarm controls and proficiency in Google Office or Microsoft Office is a bonus.
The salary is $18.16 to $22.50 per hour.
- Assists in maintaining and repairing HVAC controls and associated equipment to maximize efficiency levels in all environmentally controlled areas
- Performs urgent corrective, routine and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems as required.
- Performs maintenance on equipment and systems as required.
- Performs preventive maintenance duties to all physical structures of hospital and complies with all building safety codes. This is to include facility equipment and associated controls.
- Assists in replacing, installing, repairing and testing electrical circuits, equipment, appliances and lighting systems as required.
- Maintains routine records of all inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs performed on any equipment or system.
- Performs manual duties as requested (i.e., moving supplies or furniture, replacing light bulbs, removing trash or scrap material).
- Works day, evening or night shift as assigned.
- A working knowledge of fire alarm and signal systems.
- Ability to do work on his/her own with only normal supervision.
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, common fractions and decimals. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to push, pull, lift, bend, kneel twist and reach above shoulder level.
- Must be able to sit, stoop, bend and reach above head.
- This job requires exposure to changing environmental conditions.
Required
High School or better.
Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
Pay will be discussed with the employer, depending on experience.
