Shop Hand

Shift: 1st Shift - Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3:00pm
(Occasional overtime may be required; currently not working overtime)

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable Shop Helper to support daily operations in a manufacturing shop environment. This role assists with material handling, basic shop tasks, and general production support to keep operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, adaptable, and willing to assist wherever needed.

Responsibilities:
Operate a sit-down forklift to move materials and assist with loading trucks
Measure materials accurately using a tape measure up to 1/16"
Perform basic shop tasks including operating a table saw and/or grinder
Assist with loading and unloading trucks
Support painting and other shop functions as needed
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow all safety procedures and shop policies
Assist team members and supervisors as directed

Requirements:
Ability to operate a sit-down forklift (required)
Experience reading a tape measure to 1/16 of an inch (required)
Basic shop experience, including use of table saws and/or grinders
Ability to lift and move materials and assist with truck loading
Willingness to assist in multiple areas, including painting
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Breaks:
Two paid 15-minute breaks (typically around 9:15am and 2:00pm)
30-minute unpaid lunch break at 12:00pm
