In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in repairing airline customer seat assembles and sub-components, partially or completely, replacing parts and sub-assemblies, and test/triage/assess by performing the following duties as directed by OEM and/or airline customer drawings, maintenance manuals, engineering instruction and other technical publications.

Responsibilities
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints and drawings.
  • Must be able to read measuring instruments and use all hand tools for assembly.
  • Must be able to check blueprint rev s on the computer and be able to look up WPS and QAP s on the computer. Access and interpret airline customer manuals and drawings via customer on-line portals.
  • Must be able to work with manufacturing engineers on new methods and procedures.
  • Must be able to work within the guidelines of FAA FAR 145 regulations and customer airlines maintenance programs. Must be willing to obtain a FAA Repairman certificate as may be required under FAR regulations. A Lead Technician will be required to obtain the Repairman certification.
  • Must be able to train other employees on assembly processes and procedures.
  • Must use diagnostic equipment and a variety of tools specific to the trade.
  • Must be able to work on any Safran Seats USA manufactured product with very little training and little or no assistance.
  • Must be able to perform other duties as required.
  • Employee is expected to follow all safety regulations, keep work area in a clean and orderly condition, and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for the assigned work area(s). Performs safety related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 18 months of related experience required; equivalent education, training and background may be substituted for experience.
  • Will be required to pass competency test for Repair Technician classification within 30 days of successful award of this role.
  • Requires a thorough understanding of assembly build practices and repair procedures.
  • Must be able to perform skilled technician work that involves diagnosis, replacement, repair and rebuilding a variety of seats, equipment, components and/or systems.
  • Must be able to read and interpret average to complex blueprints, drawings, diagrams, tolerance information, route sheets, work orders, safety guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions, 3D models and procedure…
