Customer Service​/Sales

Overview

Customer Service/Sales associates provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. These associates learn about products using our tools, and provide information to customers in order to sell an entire project. They greet, qualify, recommend and close every customer in their department, and know how to handle basics in adjacent departments. They maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, and ensure it is clean, shop-able, and safe.

They follow safety policies and standards, complete safety training, correct hazards or report conditions to the Manager on Duty, and work safely. They collaborate with their Department Supervisor and other department associates.

• Greet, qualify, recommend and close every customer in their department.
• Learn about products using company tools and provide information to customers to help sell a project.
• Maintain in-stock condition of assigned areas; ensure they are clean, shop-able, and safe.
• Follow all safety policies & standards; complete safety training; immediately correct hazards or report unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty.
• Work in cooperation with the Department Supervisor and other department associates and departments as needed.
• Assist in departments such as Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing and Tool Rental.
