Pelican Pete’s is a well-loved tiki-style restaurant on Lake Lanier in Gainesville, GA. At Pelican Pete’s, we’re all about having a good time. As Lake Lanier’s only floating tiki bar and restaurant, we offer a one-of-a-kind waterfront experience featuring unbeatable lake views, live music, and some of the best food and drinks on the lake. Centered around good food, good drinks, and good times, Pelican Pete’s continues to be a favorite gathering place for locals and visitors alike.
Responsibilities- Greet guests promptly and professionally upon arrival.
- Verify guests purchasing alcohol are at least 21 years of age.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of bar and menu items to provide accurate recommendations.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders for bar and lounge guests.
- Deliver food and beverage orders within established time frames.
- Utilize suggestive selling techniques to enhance the guest experience.
- Ensure alcohol consumption is limited to designated areas.
- Build and maintain a professional, hospitable rapport with every guest served.
- Complete opening, running, and closing side work assignments.
- Collaborate effectively as a team member to support smooth operations.
- Attend ongoing training sessions and participate in pre-shift meetings.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and service standards.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum age of 18 and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to obtain any required licenses or permits.
- Minimum of 1 year experience operating a full-service bar.
- Strong knowledge of mixology, drink menus, and classic cocktail preparation.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent customer service and professional guest interaction skills.
- Strong verbal communication skills and accurate math/cash-handling abilities.
