Position Summary

Safely and efficiently supports KRDNA Department activities in the United States including the fabrication of parts, machine maintenance, machine assembly/disassembly, transport of machines between sites, and periodic support of the test team.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Understanding and ability to Machine (Lathe, Mill, CNC)
  • Assists technicians and engineers as needed with the fabrication and inspection of test parts.
  • Can read and understand engineering prints as it relates to performing the job.
  • Fabricate and/or modify parts as required including cutting, drilling, grinding, forming, machining, welding, and painting.
  • Must obtain (within 60 days) and maintain a valid DOT license and Kubota Driver's List status.
  • Continue to maintain a 5s area according to Compliance Standards
  • Understands, complies and leads others in support of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
  • Advancement determined by bi-annual skills evaluation and matrix calculation.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • High School Diploma and/or GED.
  • Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to work with little to no oversight.
  • Able to perform moderate to advanced fabrication (MIG / TIG welding, forming, machining, etc.)
  • Experience with CNC machining, press brakes, laser cutting, and water jet cutting.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools (Torque wrench, Mechanical Tools, etc)
  • Understanding of engineering prints (tolerances, welding annotation, etc.)
  • Knowledge and experience with MIG welding steel.
  • English language competency including demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Eligible to drive TEA Truck and Trailer (KMA Driver's List plus must maintain a valid DOT License)
  • Willing to Travel as necessary
  • Basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Able to perform advanced fabrication (weld jigs, machining setups, bent part troubleshooting, etc.)
  • Advanced understanding of engineering prints (tolerances, GD&T, etc.)
  • Experience with 2D and 3D CAD systems
  • Experience with 3D scanning and inspection processes.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the team member must have the ability to work in extreme hot or cold conditions, stand for the duration of the shift, uses hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; ascend stairs; balance; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and hear. In addition, the team member must occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
