Blower Service Technician –
pdblowers, Inc.
Location: Gainesville, GA
Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Based on related experience, $25-$31/hr
Typical Repair Tasks- Initial visual inspection of the unit on receipt.
- Dis‑assembly of the unit, possibly using a cutting torch or cut‑off tools.
- Inspection of blower components, measuring shaft and bearing diameters, rotor dimensions.
- Report submitted to sales to determine if a repair will be authorized.
- Once repair authorized, parts are prepped for bead blasting; some parts are cleaned or sent for further repair.
- Assembly of the unit to factory specification.
- Unit tested to confirm operation within acceptable standards.
- Experience rebuilding rotating equipment with tight tolerances, e.g., engines, pumps, transmissions, compressors.
- Proficient with micrometers, calipers, dial indicators.
- Comfortable using hand tools, impact wrenches, torque wrenches.
- Ability to use an acetylene torch for cutting and heating.
- Strong mechanical and analytical skills.
- Good writing skills for service reports.
- Good verbal communication skills for interoffice communication and customer interaction.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Organized and detail‑oriented.
- (Preferred) Knowledge of weld repair of cast iron.
- (Preferred) Knowledge of hard chrome plating.
- (Preferred) Experience using a lathe.
- Able to lift 70 lbs.
- Able to work on your feet 8‑10 hours a day.
- 5 years of mechanical experience (preferred).
- 3 years experience as a diesel mechanic (preferred).
- 3 years experience as an automotive technician (preferred).
- 3 years experience as an electromechanical technician (preferred).
- Valid Driver’s License.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Drug‑free workplace.
- Smoke‑free environment.

Training- Training will be provided in Gainesville, GA with our Blower Service Technician, expected to last 3‑6 months, pending your individual skills and proficiency.
