Service Manager

• Manage repair and maintenance of company-owned and customer equipment, organizing yard status (Ready to Rent, Returned, Down).
• Prepare work schedules and handle service calls to meet customer needs and ensure equipment availability.
• Order and maintain parts supplies.
• Provide training and assistance to staff mechanics.
• Work with equipment vendors to learn maintenance requirements and capabilities of new inventory.
• Evaluate equipment after repairs, maintenance, or safety checks.
• Document equipment status before and after rental.
• Handle customer complaints regarding equipment condition or operation.
• Promote safety awareness and perform quality control checks.
• Maintain organized equipment service records.
• Create, update, close, and bill work orders.
• File warranty claims promptly.
• Commission new equipment and perform parts inventory.
• Handle disposal of solid and hazardous material waste (batteries, used oil & filters, antifreeze, wash sludge).
• Prepare reports on service status, fleet condition, work orders, warranty claims, inventory, financial trends, and department performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

• Valid driver’s license.
• Extensive experience with repair and maintenance of self-propelled platforms and lifts.
• Knowledge of work planning, scheduling, and supervisory activities.
• Strong understanding of equipment capabilities and safety requirements.
• Clear perspective on maintenance and repair challenges in the industry.
• Planning and management experience.
• Computer literacy and reporting experience.
• Inventory management experience.

Roles require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors as needed.
