About the Role
The Practice Manager – Wound Care Services plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and growth of a physician-led wound care practice serving skilled nursing, long-term care, and post-acute facilities. This role acts as the operational bridge between providers, facilities, billing, credentialing, recruiting, marketing, and vendors.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on healthcare operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and can proactively solve operational challenges while supporting providers and facilities across multiple territories.
Position SummaryThe Practice Manager – Wound Care Services oversees operational, administrative, and compliance functions for a multi-provider wound care practice serving SNFs, LTCs, and post-acute facilities. This role supports providers, facilities, billing, credentialing, recruiting, marketing, and vendors to ensure efficient operations, timely reimbursement, and territory-level growth.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee billing and coding coordination to ensure timely wound care claim submission and minimal backlog
- Support recruiting, onboarding, and ongoing operational needs of physicians and APPs
- Coordinate with credentialing on payer enrollment (Medicare, Medicaid, HMOs), PECOS, and CAQH
- Track provider licensing, malpractice insurance, and compliance documentation
- Support territory operations and marketing progress, including facility onboarding and provider coverage
- Serve as an operational point of contact for SNFs/LTC facilities and providers
- Manage wound care supply vendors, shipments, and cost negotiations
- 3+ years of healthcare practice management or operations experience
- Experience supporting SNF/LTC or post-acute care environments
- Knowledge of medical billing workflows and payer enrollment processes
- Experience supporting multi-state or multi-territory practices
- Strong organizational, communication, and follow-through skills
- Ability to work full-time in an in-office setting
