Job Responsibilities

Summary of the Position

Evaluate, develop and troubleshoot mechanical and industrial projects in the Gainesville facility to maximize efficiency and eliminate downtime. Apply the principles of Lean Manufacturing in a "hands-on" position, participating in the implementation of a complete Lean culture change in a US manufacturing facility.

Key Deliverables

* Ensure current electronics are capable of producing quality parts

Key Accountability Metrics

* Projects completed in a timely manner

* Effectivity and efficiency goals obtained for the machining cells

* Root cause of problematic issues identified and solutions recommended, acquired and implemented

Job Requirements

Education and/or Experience

Required - Mechanical Engineering coursework completed in preparation for Mechanical Engineering degree from an accredited engineering college or university.

Preferred - Six Sigma training, Solidworks experience, MS Office proficiency including Excel and Power-point
