This is a specialized, professional coaching position that requires a working knowledge of a particular sport and how to implement it in a high school setting. Incumbent provides a well-designed program for students that promotes the emotional, social, and physical development of cadets. Incumbent may have some teaching responsibilities.

• Recruit, train, and coach the members of the sport.
• Carry out the program directives
• Represent Riverside Military Academy in a professional manner at all times.
• Must have or pursue CDL license for transporting students to sporting events.

All other work as assigned by supervisor.

Applicants for this position must meet the educational requirements of the full-time staff or faculty position they seek to hold. Preferred applicants will have at least a bachelors degree in a related field.

The ability to be a role model and willingness to mentor cadets through daily interactions and in coaching sports.

Must possess a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and be willing and able to transport students to sporting events.

Must be consistent, firm, fair, and have the ability to enthusiastically motivate students and/or athletes.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are required.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with general public, co-workers and members of diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds regardless of race, religion, age, sex, disability or political affiliation.
