Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption and loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

As a Guest Advocate, No Two Days Are Ever The Same, But a Typical Day Will Most Likely Include The Following Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks
- When guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
- Make the guest aware of current promos, store activities and events
- Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store, and specific to your area, to solve issues for the guest and improve their experience
- Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target
- Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application or sign-up as needed
- Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy
- Understand and show guests how to use the features and offerings within the Target App including Wallet
- Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering, and know how to direct the guest to enroll, activate and use these features
- Assist with returns following store policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area by gathering unpurchased items, baskets, and hangers for removal
- Stock supplies during store open hours while being available for the guest
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
- Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible
- Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) Orders, DU Returns and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, including compliance with applicable laws
- All other duties based on business needs

- You are open to working a flexible schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and other peak shopping times)
The Good News There is training to help you learn what you need to know to be a Guest Advocate. Some skills to have from the start include:
- Communicating effectively and using positive language, attentive to guests’ needs
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
- Attention to detail while prioritizing tasks
- Ability to educate guests and engage around products and services
- Ability to use multiple devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology
- Work independently and with a team
- Remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks
Basics We Expect
- Accurately handle checkout operations and support cash office operations as needed
- Scan, handle and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally
- Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends and holidays); reliable attendance
- Ability to stay mobile for the duration of a shift
- Comfort with varying temperatures and conditions in areas such as Drive-Up and carryout
