POSITION TITLE:Field Engineer
REPORTS TO:
Superintendent, Project Manager or Assistant Superintendent Position Summary
The Field Engineer assists the Superintendent, Project Manager or Assistant Superintendent with the daily execution of a construction project.
Position Responsibilities Project Organization- Assist in set‑up and maintenance of the job site office, site security and site logistics.
- Install and maintain proper site signage and required postings.
- Maintain all onsite construction documents and job site records, as assigned.
- Maintain job site office supplies, as directed.
- Gather and report all daily activities and field progress, as directed.
- Fill out and maintain daily reports, if assigned.
- Attend daily huddles, weekly subcontractor meetings and scheduling meetings, as directed.
- Take and prepare meeting minutes, as directed.
- Help with timesheets and material tracking as assigned.
- Update and maintain field as‑built drawings.
- Conduct site inspections/audits, as directed.
- Participate in site inspections to ensure standards for quality and workmanship are being met and enforce quality control standards by checking subcontractors work.
- Provide or assist with field layout and measurements.
- Perform basic material take‑offs, place supply orders and receive and inspect the delivery of materials.
- Learn to interpret basic tests and reports (air balance, soils report, concrete tests, etc.).
- Document status of project as directed.
- Assist with subcontractor coordination, as directed.
- Assist with and document operating and maintenance training sessions.
- Assist with mobilization, demobilization and project close‑out, as directed.
- Prepare jobsite hazard analyses and pre‑task plans, as directed.
- Conduct weekly safety meetings and toolbox talks, as directed.
- Complete all required safety reports, as directed.
- Maintain safe work site in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Build effective relationships with customers, design team, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meet or exceed expectations.
- Address all issues with a can‑do, solution‑oriented attitude.

- The majority of work completed on job sites. Due to daily condition changes on construction projects, they must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required by the company's safety policies and as required for weather conditions.
- The project team and/or team member may need to move to other geographic locations for projected work, if necessary.
- Entry level position with up to 2 years of construction experience preferred.
